Sacheon Mayor Park Dongsik Inspects Facility Safety in Preparation for Typhoon 'Hinnamnor'

This on-site safety inspection by Mayor Park was carried out as a preparedness measure to prevent damage in advance, as the power of Typhoon No. 11 ‘Hinnamnor,’ forecasted to be a strong typhoon, is expected to affect the entire Korean Peninsula.
Mayor Park focused on inspecting safety measures against strong winds and heavy rain, strengthening surveillance of areas at risk of human casualties and steep slopes, and restrictions on passage and evacuation in case of emergency at four locations: Bito Marine Fishing Park, Jungchon Port, Guwoojin Port, and Gahwacheon.
On this day, Mayor Park urged thorough management of facilities and checked facility operations to ensure immediate on-site response is possible through proactive situation management in case of an incident.
Earlier, on the 4th, Mayor Park also conducted on-site inspections at the Sacheon City Library construction site, the National Sports Center construction site for daily life, Seonjin Park, and the Seodong Drainage Pump Station in the Cheongneol district in response to the northward approach of Hinnamnor.
At the Seodong Drainage Pump Station, he checked the operational status and typhoon preparedness measures such as operation tests and manager deployment, and ordered utmost efforts to prevent flooding during heavy rain caused by the typhoon.
Mayor Park said, "Since this typhoon is expected to cause significant damage due to strong winds and heavy rain, I ask that all administrative power be focused on minimizing typhoon damage through thorough prior preparation and proactive response."
He also urged, “I hope all citizens maintain special vigilance and prepare thoroughly for this unprecedented typhoon.”
