Gwangju City Launches 'Integrity Campaign' for Chuseok Holiday
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju Metropolitan City announced on the 5th that it conducted an integrity campaign targeting public officials commuting to City Hall and the City Council lobby in celebration of the Chuseok holiday.
The campaign, attended by Mayor Kang Kijung, was organized ahead of the Chuseok holiday to correct the easily disrupted public service discipline, such as bribery and drunk driving, and to spread a culture of integrity in public service. Integrity promotional materials were distributed to commuting public officials to reinforce their commitment to integrity.
In this regard, Gwangju City is implementing various policies this year to advance its ranking in integrity, including operating the 'Integrity Grade 1 Gwangju Task Force (TF)', running Integrity Happy Calls and mobile teams, sending integrity alert messages, and operating Integrity Han (韓) Day.
