[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Hanssem Co., Ltd. held its first 'Business Conference' on the 2nd at the Sangam headquarters, attended by about 300 home remodeling franchise owners, unveiling a growth strategy to support franchises through active investment and new business strategies. The event was held simultaneously online and offline, with participation from all 900 franchises nationwide.
At the conference, Hanssem presented multifaceted strategies to strengthen franchise competitiveness by reflecting changes in the home remodeling market and customer needs, including ▲development of new remodeling products ▲enhancement of construction quality ▲digital transformation ▲expansion of O2O channels ▲advertising and marketing. By supporting franchises with new remodeling products, expanded customer touchpoints, and differentiated construction services, franchises can actively utilize these in sales to drive revenue growth.
First, products and services that actively reflect changes in customers' lifestyles will be introduced. With the recent increase in demand for renovating existing homes without moving, a new 'Space Package' product that allows easy remodeling will be launched. In the fourth quarter of this year, numerous partial renovation products will be introduced, allowing customers to select and change only the spaces they want, such as living rooms, bathrooms, bedrooms, and studies. Additionally, services necessary for remodeling while living, such as storage and accommodation, will be expanded so franchises can propose various services to customers.
Hanssem plans to strengthen the responsible construction system through Hanssem Service, a specialized construction logistics subsidiary holding a professional construction license. Support measures to enhance construction quality include providing skilled construction personnel and introducing a construction real-name system aimed at delivering quality products to customers. Hanssem will deploy skilled construction workers and on-site managers called 'PM (Package Manager)' to directly handle all remodeling processes, allowing franchises to focus solely on sales activities such as customer consultation and design. To reinforce the responsible construction system, a 'construction real-name system' will also be introduced. Professional PMs with nationally certified qualifications will be responsible for measurement, estimation, process management, construction supervision, and after-service, ensuring quality control and customer satisfaction.
Furthermore, a 'digital transformation' plan was announced to launch an integrated platform combining Hanssem Mall and Hanssem.com in the first quarter of next year. This service will enable customers to easily find remodeling information online, check construction estimates without visiting offline stores, and transparently share construction progress with customers.
Considering that franchises are interested in online sales but face difficulties in investment and entry, efforts will be made to expand online distribution channels and strengthen capabilities. Investment in O2O (Online to Offline) channels connecting online customers and offline franchises will be increased. Strategic partnerships with various online platforms such as Today’s House will be expanded, and the number of live broadcasts and home shopping broadcasts will be increased to broaden customer touchpoints through diverse channels. Franchises will be able to secure more remodeling customers and conduct consultations and contracts by utilizing Hanssem’s various O2O channels.
Starting in October, Hanssem will run advertising for the Hanssem Rehouse brand. The message will prioritize customer experience and deliver new customer experiences throughout the entire home remodeling process.
Additionally, the 'SNS Academy' will help develop franchises with creator capabilities. Hanssem has established an SNS education program to support franchises in marketing activities using video and photo content, such as sharing interior tips and construction cases. The SNS Academy curriculum is designed to equip franchise owners with creator skills, covering video shooting, production, editing, and channel management.
A membership service for outstanding franchises, the 'Hanssem Honors Club,' will also be launched. This program selects excellent franchises based on sales performance, high customer satisfaction, transparent management, and offers various benefits as a token of appreciation. About 20 extensive benefits have been prepared to strengthen and recharge outstanding franchises, including opportunities to attend overseas renowned design fairs, resort accommodation vouchers, comprehensive health checkups, and plaques for excellent franchises.
During the open talk session following the presentations, CEO Kim Jin-tae answered franchise owners' questions regarding market response strategies, construction innovation, and store display improvements.
