Naju City Introduces 'Altteul Transportation Card'... Bus Fare Savings Up to 30%

[Naju=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yukbong] Naju City, Jeollanam-do (Mayor Yoon Byung-tae) announced on the 2nd that it has introduced the 'Altteul Transportation Card' project, which offers bus fare discounts based on the distance traveled on foot or by bicycle before boarding public transportation (bus).

The Altteul Transportation Card is a service that accumulates cash mileage up to 20% of the bus fare, up to a maximum of 11,000 KRW per month, proportional to the distance traveled on foot or by bicycle, and can be used anywhere nationwide.

If combined with a 10% discount benefit from each card company, bus fares can be reduced by up to 30%.

However, discount and mileage benefits apply only if there are more than 15 usage records of the card and related app (APP).

Card issuance is available to any citizen aged 18 or older residing in Naju by visiting Shinhan, Woori, or Hana Bank or through the official Altteul Transportation Card website.

Upon issuing the card, users must simultaneously download and use the dedicated Altteul Transportation Card app (App).

When departing from the residence or other location, click the 'Start Button' in the app, and after boarding and alighting the bus and arriving at the destination, click the 'Arrival Button' to accumulate cash mileage.

Mileage is accumulated differentially according to the travel distance: up to 250 KRW for transportation costs under 2,000 KRW, 350 KRW for 2,000 to 3,000 KRW, and up to 450 KRW for over 3,000 KRW.

A city official said, "We hope many people will use the Altteul Transportation Card, which offers the dual benefits of bus fare discounts and health benefits through walking," and added, "We will continue to strive to provide user-centered Naju-style public transportation policies and friendly services."
