[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] Kim Nam-su and Kang Kwon-chan, former Blue House secretaries, have been confirmed as Gyeonggi Province's Chief Policy Secretary and Chief Opportunity Gyeonggi Secretary, respectively. Additionally, Kim Dal-su, a former member of the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly, has been appointed as the Chief Political Secretary to serve as a communication bridge with the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly.
Kim Nam-su served as a Blue House secretary in charge of social coordination during President Roh Moo-hyun's administration from 2005 to 2006. He later served as a labor special advisor for Chungcheongnam-do from 2014 to 2015 and was CEO of KS Dream Co., Ltd. from 2018 to 2021. The Chief Policy Secretary, a position equivalent to a level 2 executive directly under the governor, assists the governor in policy decisions related to external cooperation across the province's administration.
Kim Nam-su pledged, "I will devote myself to ensuring that the participation of various stakeholders in provincial administration and the collection of opinions proceed smoothly in assisting the governor's policy decisions."
Kang Kwon-chan served as a senior administrative officer in the National Planning Situation Room and Planning Secretary Office under the Moon Jae-in administration from 2019 to 2021, and as a Citizen Participation Secretary from 2021 to 2022. The Chief Opportunity Gyeonggi Secretary assists Governor Kim Dong-yeon's policy development and performance management of campaign promises to make Gyeonggi Province the "Capital of Opportunity."
Kang Kwon-chan stated, "I will focus on establishing mid- to long-term strategies and tasks, coordinating major projects, and discovering policies centered on the governor's philosophy and vision to provide 13.9 million Gyeonggi residents with more opportunities, more equitable opportunities, and better opportunities, thereby making Gyeonggi the 'Capital of Opportunity.'"

Meanwhile, Kim Dal-su, a former Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly member, has been appointed as the Chief Political Secretary, a level 2 executive position, to support smooth communication and cooperation between Gyeonggi Province and the Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly.
Kim, the appointee, served as a member of the 8th, 9th, and 10th Gyeonggi Provincial Assembly and held positions as Chair of the Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee and Chair of the Special Budget and Accounts Committee.
