Miryang-si Temporarily Pauses 'Illegal Parking Enforcement'
From the 3rd to the 12th, Fixed Camera Enforcement Suspended
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seryeong] Miryang City, Gyeongnam Province, will temporarily suspend illegal parking enforcement through fixed surveillance cameras from the 3rd until the end of the Chuseok holiday on the 12th.
The city announced on the 1st that the enforcement is temporarily waived to revitalize the use of traditional markets during the holiday, provide convenience to returning visitors, and minimize damage to local small business owners caused by COVID-19.
The waiver applies only to enforcement by fixed surveillance cameras, while enforcement through the resident reporting system, where residents take photos themselves and report via the Safe Report app, will continue.
The resident reporting system targets six absolutely no-parking zones: ▲crosswalks ▲intersection corners ▲bus stops ▲firefighting facilities ▲sidewalks ▲children protection zones.
According to the city, if a vehicle is illegally parked for more than one minute, it can be reported through photo or video evidence.
