Additional Solar Power Plant Installed at Yugu Logistics Center... Minimizing Greenhouse Gas Emissions
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Cheol-hyun] Coway (CEO Lee Hae-sun and Seo Jang-won) announced on the 25th that it will additionally install a solar power plant at the Yugu Logistics Center located in Gongju City, Chungcheongnam-do.
Coway is constructing a solar power plant with a capacity of approximately 1000KWh on the roof of the Yugu Logistics Center building and plans to commence commercial operation in the second half of this year. Currently, Coway operates solar power plants installed at the Yugu Factory, Incheon Factory, and Pocheon Factory.
This solar power plant installation is part of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management activities. Coway plans to minimize greenhouse gas emissions and continuously reduce negative environmental impacts by utilizing renewable energy such as solar power.

Additionally, Coway plans to collaborate with affiliates and partners to install more solar power plants, thereby expanding the renewable energy supply chain. A Coway official stated, "We have established and are implementing a goal to reduce absolute greenhouse gas emissions by 50% from 2020 levels by 2030 and achieve 100% reduction by 2050," adding, "We will continue to strive to become a company that spreads positive influence to the environment, society, and people based on various ESG management activities."
