T'way Air, On-site Inspection for International Aviation Safety Evaluation
[Asia Economy Reporter Choi Dae-yeol] T'way Air announced on the 25th that it is undergoing an on-site inspection for the IOSA ISM Edition certification, an international air transport standard evaluation system. IOSA is an evaluation system established by the International Air Transport Association (IATA) to set international standards for airline safety operations and quality assurance management systems.
The company first received this certification in 2014. Certification renewal is required every two years, and the company explained that stricter evaluation criteria are applied with each audit. For this year's 14th certification, on-site inspections have been conducted over five days since the 22nd, covering more than 900 items across eight sectors including safety management, aviation security, flight operations, maintenance, cabin, flight management, transportation, and cargo.

The company stated, "This year's IOSA certification holds great significance in strengthening reliability by obtaining international standard certification for the aviation safety management system and processes during business expansion, including the introduction of the large aircraft A330-300, new route launches, and entry into long-haul routes."
