View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Moon Chaeseok] Samsung Electronics announced on the 25th that it has partnered with Amazon's online video service (OTT) 'Prime Video' to create the trailer video for the 'The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power' series in 8K resolution and plans to showcase it in stores worldwide at the end of this month.
This Lord of the Rings series is a drama that Amazon Prime Video will begin airing from the 2nd of next month. The 2-minute trailer video captures key scenes in 8K resolution. Samsung's Neo QLED 8K TV appears in the introduction of the trailer video.
Samsung Electronics also plans to release the trailer video through its global official YouTube channel in early next month.
Additionally, since the 22nd (local time), outdoor advertisements promoting the Neo QLED 8K and the new drama have been displayed at major global landmarks such as Times Square in New York, Duomo Square in Milan, Italy, and Piccadilly Circus in London, UK.
Amazon Prime Video joined the '8K Association' led by Samsung Electronics in December last year, participating in the expansion of the 8K ecosystem.
