View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Gwi-yeol] The Gyeongbuk Provincial Fire Headquarters will hold a design contest for a memorial monument for fallen public officials from the 22nd of this month to the 23rd of next month.
This contest was organized to honor the noble spirit of dedication of Gyeongbuk fire officials and public officials who died in the line of duty at various disaster sites, and to discover a memorial monument design with high symbolism and artistic value that embodies the spirit of Gyeongbuk.
Anyone interested in sculpture or design, regardless of region or age, who is a citizen of the Republic of Korea, can participate.
Applicants wishing to participate can download the application form and other documents from the announcement section on the Gyeongbuk Provincial website and submit them via email.
Works submitted during the contest period will be selected through two rounds of expert evaluation, choosing one grand prize winner and two excellence prize winners, totaling three works.
The grand prize winner will receive a prize of 5 million KRW, and each excellence prize winner will receive 2.5 million KRW along with the Governor’s Award.
Based on the final selected design from the contest, the province plans to complete the installation project of the memorial monument for fallen public officials on the provincial office grounds by next year.
