At the forum, about 100 participants including (prospective) entrepreneurs, investors, and representatives from startup support organizations attended. Ten domestic venture startup experts gave keynote presentations and panel discussions, facilitating free discussions aimed at "activating the technology startup ecosystem in Changwon Special City."
The first presenter, Dr. Jeong Ho-jin from the Changwon City Policy Research Institute, provided a detailed analysis of the local status through the "Diagnosis and Analysis of the Technology Startup Ecosystem in Changwon Special City," establishing a barometer for the Changwon ecosystem. Following this, Park Young-jun, Deputy Director of the Seongnam Industry Promotion Agency, introduced the "Technology Startup Support Program of Seongnam City," presenting various application cases of startup support programs.
Additionally, the free discussion led by Choi Sung-jin, CEO of Korea Startup Forum, featured seven domestic startup experts as panelists who shared diverse insights on startup support policies, fostering a startup boom atmosphere, expanding regional investment, and revitalizing startup networks.
In particular, Kim Dae-jin, Senator and Committee Member of the World Business Angel Investment Forum, who participated in the discussion, emphasized, "Although Changwon's startup support policies are diverse, it is time to consider motivational policies that inspire entrepreneurship for those hesitant to start businesses. When potential prospective entrepreneurs create valuable outcomes and respond to changes with challenges, the local community develops."
