Yeosu City to Distribute 300,000 Won Daily Recovery Support Fund Starting from the 29th of This Month
Applications from August 29 to September 23... Birth year-based 5-day rotation system in the first week
Yeosu Love Gift Certificates or prepaid cards issued immediately at local town and township community centers
[Yeosu=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Choi Cheol-hoon] Yeosu City, Jeollanam-do announced on the 22nd that it will begin distributing the daily recovery support fund to all citizens starting from the 29th of this month.
The payment amount is 300,000 KRW per person, and applications can be made by visiting the resident registration address's eup/myeon/dong community service center by September 23.
During the first week of application, from August 29 to September 2, a 5-day rotation system based on the last digit of the birth year will be implemented to prevent congestion.
The eligible applicants are approximately 280,000 people, including citizens registered as residents in Yeosu City as of 0:00 on July 1, 2022, permanent residents or marriage immigrants residing in Yeosu City, with a total of 84.2 billion KRW to be distributed.
Upon application, prepaid cards or Yeosa Love gift certificates will be issued immediately. For prepaid cards, registering on the card company's website, branch, or customer center before use allows for income deduction benefits.
If registered as the same household on the resident registration, both the head of the household and household members can apply. If not the same household, direct lineal ascendants/descendants or siblings can apply on behalf and receive the funds collectively. However, cohabitants must apply separately.
The daily recovery support fund can only be used within the Yeosu area to promote local consumption and increase sales for small business owners, and cannot be used at large supermarkets, entertainment establishments, or online shopping malls.
Especially, prepaid cards must be used by June 30, 2023, so please be aware of this.
Mayor Jeong Gi-myeong said, “Our city has faced several crises due to COVID-19, but thanks to the active cooperation of our citizens, we were able to overcome them wisely. I ask that you use the daily recovery support fund as quickly as possible before the Chuseok holiday so that it can serve as a catalyst for revitalizing the local economy and returning to normal life.”
