[Notice] 'Good Brain 2022 International Conference' to be Held on the 21st of Next Month
"How to Keep Your Brain Healthy Until 100 Years Old"
Asia Economy is hosting the 'Good Brain 2022 International Conference,' inviting domestic and international brain health experts to propose management and treatment for healthy aging, as well as government-level policy support. Although advances in science and medical technology have extended human lifespan, a significant portion of brain diseases such as dementia and Parkinson's disease remain areas yet to be overcome. However, research by academia and the medical community to overcome these challenges continues at this very moment, and new treatments such as digital therapeutics (DTx) are being explored in various ways.
At this event, we welcome Professor Kim Hyung-seok, Emeritus Professor at Yonsei University, a contemporary intellectual who awakens us with philosophical reflections that span his life even at the age of 103, to share the secrets to maintaining clear mental health in old age. Neuroscientist Professor Kim Dae-soo from KAIST will lecture on how a healthy brain influences our thoughts and behaviors, and how artificial intelligence (AI) modeled after the human brain is developing. Professor Lee Ae-young from the Department of Neurology at Chungnam National University Hospital and Professor Han Chang-soo from the Department of Psychiatry at Korea University Guro Hospital will introduce the issues of dementia and brain health methods to prevent dementia, respectively. In the special lecture that follows, Professor Mia Kivipelto from Karolinska Institute in Sweden, the founder of the globally recognized dementia prevention program 'FINGER Program,' will emphasize the global solidarity needed to overcome dementia, which has now expanded into a social issue.
In the afternoon session, we will examine the trends and success potential of domestic and international DTx technologies currently being researched and developed to improve or prevent symptoms of various diseases, including brain disorders. Speakers include Professor Shin Jae-yong from Yonsei University College of Medicine, Megan Coder, Vice President of Policy at the World Digital Therapeutics Alliance, and Lee Hae-sung, Head of KT Digital Health P-TF. Additionally, experts will engage in discussions on the necessity of policy support and investment to help domestic researchers and companies develop DTx that can stand tall in the global market.
We look forward to your enthusiastic support for this event, which will share extensive knowledge and diverse opinions from experts in brain health, dementia prevention, and DTx technology fields, and propose solutions.
