[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The Gwangju Northern Fire Station announced on the 21st that it recently conducted an on-site adaptation training at the KEPCO Buk Gwangju Substation.
This on-site adaptation training was carried out under the assumption of a disaster situation where a fire and explosion occurred in the main building substation room, and the personnel inside could not evacuate. The training aimed to minimize casualties and ensure rapid fire suppression activities through initial responses such as fire reporting and self-fire brigade activities, fire evacuation, fire suppression, and rescue training.
The key points of the training included ▲ identifying fire access routes and selecting fire truck parking locations ▲ checking major facilities and fire risk factors ▲ methods to cut off power at the substation ▲ fire safety education to strengthen initial response capabilities.
