Kim Eye Hospital Announces Essay Contest "The World Seen Through the Heart"... Submissions Accepted Until September 23
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Kim Eye Hospital, a specialized ophthalmology hospital, announced on the 19th that it will jointly hold the "17th World Seen Through the Heart" writing contest with the Korea Low Vision Association.
Submissions will be accepted until September 23, and the awards ceremony will be held on October 13, which is "Eye Day." There are no restrictions on eligibility, and participants are invited to submit writings about the importance of the eyes, feelings experienced while receiving treatment for eye diseases, impressions of the world seen through the heart when vision was poor, or experiences with visually impaired individuals. The length is limited to within 3 A4 pages, but the format can be poetry, prose, or any other style.
One Grand Prize winner, one Gold Prize winner, two Silver Prize winners, and five Encouragement Prize winners will be selected and awarded, with the Grand Prize receiving a cash prize of 1,000,000 KRW. The winning works will be published on October 7 on the websites of Kim Eye Hospital and the Korea Low Vision Association.
