Director Kim Seong-hoon's breakthrough work Hard Hit (2013) is being adapted into a webtoon and will be serialized. Webtoon and web novel specialist company RIDI announced on the 19th that the first episode will be released at 10 PM on the 20th. Hard Hit is a crime thriller depicting the desperate struggle of detective Go Geon-su (played by Lee Sun-kyun), who causes a hit-and-run accident on his mother's funeral day. The film was recognized for its artistic merit, having been invited to the Directors' Fortnight at the 2014 Cannes Film Festival and other events. It was also a box office success in Korea, attracting 3,450,305 viewers.
