Korea Electrical Safety Corporation Conducts Special Inspections at 25,000 Traditional Markets Ahead of Chuseok
[Asia Economy Sejong=Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Korea Electrical Safety Corporation announced on the 17th that it will undertake safety management activities to prevent electrical accidents at facilities frequently visited by citizens ahead of the Chuseok holiday.
The corporation will conduct special safety inspections to prevent electrical disasters at approximately 25,000 multi-use facilities nationwide, including traditional markets, hospitals, large marts, and lodging facilities, until the 12th of next month.
In response to the heavy rains that occurred last week, the corporation has switched to an emergency system for flood recovery at its headquarters and nationwide offices and is currently operating under this system.
During the inspection period, the corporation plans to strengthen a 24-hour monitoring system to prepare for power outages, fires, typhoons, and other emergency disasters, while conducting inspections and support for damaged facilities and carrying out joint safety inspections with the government and local governments.
