Korea Railroad Hosts the 13th Railroad Photography Contest
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Korea Railroad Corporation (KORAIL) announced on the 16th that it will hold the "13th Railroad Photo Contest" until the 14th of next month.
The contest is held under the theme "Beautiful Moments with Railroads." Anyone can participate with photos personally taken featuring railroads, such as train travel, small station scenery, railroad workers, and other railroad-related subjects.
Up to three entries per person are allowed, and digital files should be submitted via email along with the application form.
KORAIL plans to select 50 outstanding works through internal and external expert judging and award a total prize money of 14.1 million KRW.
The awards include: Gold Prize (1 person) with a commendation from the KORAIL president and 2 million KRW; Silver Prize (2 works) with a commendation and 1 million KRW each; Bronze Prize (3 works) with a commendation and 500,000 KRW each; Honorable Mention (40 works) with 200,000 KRW each; and Special Prize (4 works) with 150,000 KRW each.
