InterContinental Dives into Art, Launches Art Cake Featuring Paintings by Artist Kim Byung-jong
[Asia Economy Reporter Jeon Jinyoung] The Grand InterContinental Seoul Parnas in Samseong-dong announced that it will present a special art cake called "Flower of Life," inspired by the works of Kim Byung-jong, a master of contemporary Korean art.
This art cake, introduced as part of the hotel's ongoing "True Luxury with Art" exhibition project, was specially created based on Kim Byung-jong's representative work "Song of Life," which focuses on nature and life, among the masterpieces displayed in the lobby.
The visual beauty and colors are expressed in the form of a flower using pomegranate jelly, and a new taste experience is offered by layering soft cream made from Jeju Hallabong and tangy raspberry confit between the cake sheets.
At the exhibition held in the hotel's first-floor lobby, visitors can appreciate masterpieces by masters such as Kim Byung-jong's "Song of Life," Kim Chang-yeol, and Kim Tae-ho. Additionally, the exhibition features 23 works by 14 artists, including preview pieces from the Start Art Fair Seoul 2022 by artists like Gian84, Mignon, and Gam Man-ji.
