Midnight Kidnapping Incident in Downtown Seoul... Police Pursue Suspect
[Asia Economy Reporter Gong Byung-sun] An incident occurred in downtown Seoul where a man in his 20s was kidnapped by a vehicle late at night but escaped on his own.
On the 16th, the Yongsan Police Station in Seoul received a report around 12:20 a.m. the previous day that four men forcibly put a man in his 20s, Mr. A, into a car near an apartment complex in Yongsan-gu, Seoul. Mr. A, who had been kidnapped, is known to have escaped by jumping out of the moving vehicle in the Nonhyeon-dong area of Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
Based on closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage, the police investigated one of the four men present at the kidnapping scene who did not get into the car by accompanying him voluntarily near the scene. The suspect reportedly stated that he committed the crime due to a debt relationship with Mr. A.
