[Asia Economy Reporter Ra Young-cheol] A large number of shopping facilities and postpartum care centers in Gyeonggi-do were caught by fire authorities for leaving fire alarm receivers broken or stacking items in fire shutter zones.
The Gyeonggi-do Fire and Disaster Headquarters announced on the 14th that "On the 3rd, during a simultaneous crackdown on 94 locations including shopping facilities and postpartum care centers for the 'three major illegal acts' such as 'blocking emergency exits,' 'obstructing fire facilities,' and 'illegal parking,' 23 places (24%) were caught."
Among them, postpartum care center A left the fire alarm receiver, a fire alarm facility, broken and unattended, and shopping center B was found to have stopped the receiver linkage, making it impossible for the alarm system to operate in case of fire.
In addition, many shopping centers and postpartum care centers were found to have stacked sales items in fire shutters and emergency exit passages or had issues such as poor lighting of guidance signs.
