National Gwangju Science Museum Operates Summer Vacation Artificial Intelligence Exploration Team
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Jin-hyung] The National Gwangju Science Museum announced that the clubs selected for the Artificial Intelligence Exploration Activity Support Project, aimed at spreading AI science culture and nurturing talent, conducted the 'AI Exploration Team' activity on the 11th, visiting AI research institutions during the summer vacation.
Students participating in the AI Exploration Team visited the AI Machine Research Laboratory at the Korea Institute of Machinery and Materials in Daejeon, examined various robots integrated with the latest AI technology, and had a Q&A and mentoring session with AI researchers about the future development of AI technology and the qualifications needed to become researchers in the AI field.
Jeon Tae-ho, Acting Director, said, "AI is now embedded in various fields of our daily lives," adding, "The National Gwangju Science Museum will actively support the growing science dreamers to become talents who will lead the future of AI technology through the establishment of the AI Hall, various AI-related exhibitions, events, and educational programs."

The AI Exploration Activity Support Project, supported by the Ministry of Science and ICT and Gwangju Metropolitan City, provides support such as ▲ AI research materials ▲ AI expert mentoring/consulting ▲ visits to AI research institutions during vacations ▲ AI lectures and online courses ▲ exploration spaces and equipment support, enabling club students to develop AI capabilities. Recruitment for clubs was conducted until April targeting elementary, middle, and high schools in the Honam region, and currently, nine exploration clubs are active.
