According to the provisional tally by the Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters (CDSCH), as of 6 p.m., the death toll stands at 14 with 8 in Seoul, 4 in Gyeonggi, and 2 in Gangwon, while the missing persons total 5 with 1 in Seoul, 2 in Gyeonggi, and 2 in Gangwon.
The man in his 60s found that day reportedly went outside to take measures when water entered his house due to the heavy rain but did not return. His sister, who went missing with him at the time, is still being searched for.
Besides the deceased and missing, there are 18 injured (2 in Seoul, 16 in Gyeonggi).
The number of people who evacuated from their residences has increased to 7,197 across 55 cities and counties in 7 provinces.
The number of disaster victims who suffered damage such as house flooding is 1,827, mainly in Seoul and Gyeonggi. Among them, 1,370 have not yet returned home.
The number of people who temporarily evacuated due to damage concerns has increased to 5,370, with 3,723 still not returned.
There are 4,954 people staying in 141 temporary shelters.
Local governments and the Red Cross have provided 116,000 relief items to these people.
Damage to private and public facilities amounts to 3,925 and 803 cases, respectively.
Crop flooding damage covers 1,085 hectares, with Chungnam (486 hectares) suffering the most.
The number of landslide damages has increased to 165 cases.
Of the 4,819 emergency restoration cases, 4,210 (87.4%) have been completed.
From midnight to 5 p.m. that day, rainfall measured 53.5 mm in Pyeongtaek, Gyeonggi, 45.6 mm in Seosan, Chungnam, and 42.5 mm in Daegu.
All special weather reports issued for the central region were lifted at 4:50 p.m., while the stationary front is gradually moving south overnight, bringing rain to Jeolla and Gyeongsang provinces until that night.
Preemptive controls are being implemented in areas at risk of casualties by region.

Eleven riverside locations, 26 riverside parking lots, and 29 trails in 4 national parks have been closed. The 3.8 km section near Seopangyo IC on the Yongin-Seoul Expressway reopened all lanes to traffic at 3:40 p.m. that day.
