"Report: Nuclear Secret Documents Included in FBI Search Warrants... Trump Reacts"
[Asia Economy New York=Special Correspondent Joselgina] Reports have emerged that the FBI's search of former President Donald Trump's residence included classified documents related to nuclear weapons. President Trump immediately pushed back, further intensifying the controversy.
The Washington Post (WP) reported on the 12th (local time), citing sources, that the FBI's search included classified documents related to nuclear weapons.
WP pointed out, "Experts have raised concerns about the possibility that such classified information could be stored at Mar-a-Lago, and the risk of it falling into hostile hands." However, it has not been confirmed whether the FBI recovered nuclear weapons-related classified documents during this search.
Meanwhile, former President Trump strongly denied the claims in a post on his social media platform 'Truth Social,' stating, "The nuclear weapons issue is fabricated, just like the other investigations against me." Trump had also called the FBI's search of his residence on the 8th a "political investigation."
In response, Attorney General Merrick Garland held an emergency press conference the previous day, confirming the search and announcing that he had requested the Miami federal court to release the warrant.
