Kakao and Kim Beom-su Donate 2 Billion KRW for Heavy Rain Damage Recovery
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Choi] Kakao announced on the 12th that it will donate 1 billion KRW to the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association for flood recovery. Kim Beom-su, Head of the Future Initiative Center, also decided to make a separate donation of 1 billion KRW.
Along with this, the social contribution platform ‘Kakao Together Value’ has opened an emergency fundraising box for flood damage to encourage nationwide participation in donations.
Since the 9th, Kakao Together Value has opened a fundraising box related to ‘Emergency Fundraising for Flood Damage’ in collaboration with the Hope Bridge National Disaster Relief Association and the Community Chest of Korea. So far, about 160 million KRW has been raised. The funds will be used to support relief supplies such as bottled water, masks, and shelter partitions, as well as to assist flood victims.
