[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Yong-woo] Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters is launching a call for proposals for next year's ‘Business Support Project.’ The period is from the 16th to September 16th.
The Business Support Project is a support initiative implemented by nuclear power operators under the ‘Act on Support for Areas Surrounding Power Plants’ to promote economic revitalization, environmental improvement, cultural promotion, and welfare enhancement in areas surrounding power plants.
The 2023 Business Support Project budget is a total of 10.1 billion KRW, and the call for proposals covers fields such as education and scholarship support, regional economic cooperation, surrounding environment improvement, regional welfare projects, and regional cultural promotion projects.
Saeul Nuclear Power plans to hold an explanatory meeting for local institutions, organizations, and residents on the 22nd at 2 p.m. in the large conference room on the 3rd floor of the Seosaeng-myeon Office in Ulju-gun.
Lee Sang-min, head of Saeul Nuclear Power Headquarters, said, “We will ensure that the projects practically benefit local residents by discovering landmark projects reflecting regional characteristics and projects reflecting the potential needs of the region.”
