Korea Securities Depository Hosts the 4th KSD Finance and Securities Open Campus
[Asia Economy Reporter Minji Lee] The Korea Securities Depository (KSD) announced on the 12th that it held the 4th 'KSD Finance and Securities Open Campus' from the 9th to the 11th to enhance the employment capabilities of university students in the Busan area.
The Open Campus is a job training program operated by public institutions in cooperation with local universities targeting local university students. KSD has been holding this event once a year since 2019. This year's event was held online to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
In this Open Campus program, 40 university students and graduates from seven universities in the Busan area (Kyungsung University, Dongseo University, Dong-A University, Dong-Eui University, Pukyong National University, Pusan National University, and Korea Maritime and Ocean University) were provided with various job lectures such as 'Electronic Securities System' and 'Clearing and Settlement,' lectures related to the capital market and crypto assets, and recruitment guidance.

A KSD official stated, "We hope the Open Campus will be helpful to university students in the Busan area amid the prolonged employment difficulties caused by COVID-19. Going forward, as a corporate citizen of Busan, we will continue to nurture local talent, support youth employment, and actively practice ESG management through regional coexistence and cooperation."
