Looking for Proud Candidates for the ‘Yeongcheon Citizen Award’!
Recommendation Possible from the 12th of This Month to September 1st at Eup, Myeon, and Dong Administrative Welfare Centers
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Yeo Jong-gu] Yeongcheon City, Gyeongbuk Province, is accepting nominations for the ‘2022 Yeongcheon City Proud Citizen Award,’ which is given to citizens who have devoted themselves to enhancing the city's honor and contributing to the development of the local community, from the 12th of this month until 6 PM on the 1st of next month.
The awards are divided into three categories: industrial economy, culture·education·sports, and social service. One recipient from each category will be honored at the opening ceremony of the 20th Yeongcheon Herbal Medicine Festival on October 14th. Nominations can be submitted through the town, township, and neighborhood administrative welfare centers.
Nominees must be residents registered in Yeongcheon City for at least five years as of the nomination date and have made significant contributions to the development of the local community in the fields of industrial economy, culture·education·sports, or social service.
The Proud Citizen Award recognizes hidden contributors who have worked with pride as Yeongcheon citizens to develop the region and make Yeongcheon a better place to live. The award has been presented since 1996, with a total of 71 recipients up to last year.
