Imsil-gun Saves Over 1.5 Billion Won Budget in Construction of Osu 2nd Agricultural Industrial Complex
[Imsil=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Nosik] Imsil-gun, Jeonbuk, significantly changed its working methods, such as pre-planning the use of fill material from public projects for the Osu 2nd Agricultural Industrial Complex, resulting in substantial budget savings.
According to the county on the 11th, regarding the Osu 2nd Agricultural Industrial Complex development project, a specialized industrial complex themed around companion animals in the Osu area promoted as a campaign project, they saved time and budget by pre-planning the fill material from the Jeollabuk-do review stage.
The 2nd Agricultural Industrial Complex finalizes the project design reflecting review opinions after undergoing the review by the Jeollabuk-do Local Industrial Complex Planning Review Committee, which is part of the administrative procedure.
Accordingly, the county predicted the demand for fill and excavation volumes from the time of the industrial complex plan review and was even questioned by review committee members about the excavation disposal plan.
In this process, the county prepared a fill material disposal plan for public projects in advance and provided fill material only to public projects after conducting demand surveys, greatly improving working methods by reducing budget and increasing efficiency.
The county conducted a demand survey in advance through the public project fill material disposal plan for the Osu 2nd Agricultural Industrial Complex.
As a result of the demand survey, approximately 163,000㎥ of excavation soil was provided to 19 project sites, including the Osu-myeon Park Golf Course construction, road construction connecting outside the industrial complex district, companion animal support center construction project, and Imsil-eup European-style rose garden development project.
Using excavation soil in this way can save about 1.514 billion KRW in budget.
From the perspective of public project demanders, it has a positive effect in that securing the net fill volume for public projects is easier and high-quality soil can be supplied.
The county plans to continue enhancing budget savings and efficiency through proactive prediction of public project fill materials, as done in the Osu 2nd Agricultural Industrial Complex development project.
County Governor Sim Min said, “By improving working methods to pre-plan fill material through prior demand surveys from the review stage, which is the planning phase, we shortened the time to secure net fill volume for public projects and saved budget.”
He added, “We will continue to strive to improve work processes to increase efficiency.”
