IBK, 600 Million KRW in Medical Expenses Delivered to 128 SME Workers and Small Business Families

[Asia Economy Reporter Yu Je-hoon] IBK Industrial Bank announced on the 11th that it has provided 630 million KRW in medical expenses to 128 small and medium-sized enterprise (SME) workers and families of small business owners suffering from rare and intractable diseases.
Through this medical expense support, Kim Min-ho (alias, 11), who has been suffering from cerebral palsy for 11 years, and Lee Jong-in (alias, 45), who is struggling with colorectal cancer and balancing work to cover treatment costs, have received assistance.
Yoon Jong-won, President of IBK Industrial Bank, said, "We have expanded the scale of medical expense support compared to previous years to help SME workers and small business owners overcome crises," adding, "As a corporate citizen, we will continue various social contribution activities so that the culture of sharing can spread widely in our society."

Meanwhile, IBK Industrial Bank established the IBK Happiness Sharing Foundation in 2006 to improve the welfare of SME workers and has contributed a total of 61.5 billion KRW to date. Through this, it has supported 3160 SME workers and families of small business owners battling rare and intractable diseases with 13.6 billion KRW in medical expenses and provided scholarships totaling 17.9 billion KRW to about 10,000 individuals from financially disadvantaged families.
