Chuncheon-si, No Abnormalities Found in Investigation of Legoland Ride Stoppage Incident
[Asia Economy Reporter Jang Hyowon] A site investigation into the consecutive ride stoppage incidents at Legoland, a theme park located in Chuncheon City, Gangwon Province, found no abnormalities.
On the afternoon of the 10th, Chuncheon City held a press briefing at City Hall and stated, "A site investigation team was formed with the Korea Electrical Safety Corporation and others to inspect the devices in the fields of electricity, architecture, firefighting, and gas from the 1st to the 3rd. The results diagnosed no abnormalities."
So far, Chuncheon City has identified the ride stoppage incidents at Legoland as four roller coaster stoppages since its opening and one incident on the 21st where the tower observatory stopped midway.
The roller coaster stoppages were attributed to temporary sensor errors and momentary power outages, while the tower observatory stopped due to the safety sensor activating from uneven load during boarding, causing the facility to halt.
