On the 14th at 5 PM, during the game between the NC Dinos and LG Twins at Changwon NC Park, a ceremonial first pitch will be held under the theme "Light of Sharing, Illuminating the World," featuring national merit recipient Kim Sang-gil, who practices a life of sharing.
Following this, various side events will take place, including a photo exhibition on the history of the Taegeukgi, large-scale Taegeukgi making with citizen participation, the singing of the national anthem by students from schools with independence merit backgrounds, and a patriotism quiz.
From the 13th to the 15th, at the Geoje Prisoner of War Camp Historical Park, experience programs such as making Taegeukgi mask straps and three-dimensional Taegeukgi will be held for youth under the theme "Let's shout together on 8·15. Long live Korean independence!"
An SNS certification event titled "Find it GO, Share it GO, Receive a Gift GO," where visitors who certify their visit to memorial facilities in the Gyeongnam Eastern area can enter a draw to win a 10,000 won cultural gift certificate, will run until the 14th.
Additionally, to remember and honor the sacrifices and contributions of the patriots who devoted themselves to the country's independence and to spread a culture of respect, nameplates reading "House of Independence Merit Recipient" will be installed at the homes of newly recognized independence merit recipients’ families who were awarded the Presidential Citation on last March 1st.
