TrackChain Partners with 'Darkweb Hunter' S2W to Combat Threats in the Virtual Asset Market
[Asia Economy Reporter Hyungsoo Park] Digital virtual asset solution provider TrackChain announced on the 5th that it has formed a strategic partnership with cyber threat intelligence (CTI) security company S2W to enhance security and threat response in the virtual asset market.
Based on S2W's core technologies such as dark web analysis and tracking solutions, TrackChain plans to develop new security and threat response products and pioneer new markets including the virtual asset market. Through this collaboration, they expect to address various threats that may arise for businesses including large commerce platforms as well as the virtual asset market.
Specifically, S2W will provide core threat response solutions and technical support related to 'cyber threats,' 'digital abusing,' and 'virtual assets.' TrackChain will lead the planning and business development of new products aimed at preventing crimes and security threats such as money laundering and hacking within fintech and commerce platforms using these core technologies.
The dark web is a cyber risk zone where IP tracking is impossible, and frequent illegal activities such as drug and illegal weapon trading occur. S2W is a data intelligence startup founded in 2018 by KAIST (Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology) network security researchers, analyzing dark web threat information with AI solutions and contributing to Interpol's cybercrime investigations.
TrackChain, a blockchain-specialized affiliate of fintech security group Aton, provides technical support for the Travel Rule (fund transfer rule) solution ‘VerifyVASP’ to more than 20 virtual asset operators in Korea. Since June, it has been jointly developing a whitelisting solution (a method that allows deposits and withdrawals only for pre-registered wallets) with Ground X, Kakao’s blockchain technology affiliate.
Hamsungjin, CEO of TrackChain, said, "We will combine the fintech business development capabilities and marketing know-how internalized from our parent company Aton with S2W’s technological expertise to discover new markets."
