Professor An Byung-guk's Team at Mokwon University Selected for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism's 'Writer Survey, Research, and Criticism Support Project'

View original image[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Mokwon University announced on the 4th that a research team including Professor An Byeong-guk from the Department of Ceramic Design, College of Art and Design, participated as an artist and was selected for the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Arts Council Korea's '2022 Artist Survey, Research, and Criticism Support Project.'
The project is implemented to discover outstanding artists and works of art. The core is to select one artist who is actively working in the Korean art scene and who deserves to be highlighted or re-examined, and to support professional survey, research, and criticism activities.
Professor An's team consists of 10 members, including the general planner (Professor Choi Ju-yeon from the Department of Ceramic Design at Mokwon University), the artist (Professor An Byeong-guk), and the principal researcher (Professor Lee Jong-min from the Department of Archaeology and Art History at Chungbuk National University), to carry out the project.
According to the selection results, Professor An's team will receive a budget of 60 million KRW over two years. They also plan to hold an academic seminar for in-depth analysis of An Byeong-guk's works and an international academic symposium in the future.
