[Asia Economy Reporter Minwoo Lee] Hana Bank is partnering with the Chinese mobile messenger 'WeChat' to launch a mobile branch.
Hana Bank China Limited announced on the 3rd that it has opened a non-face-to-face mobile branch called 'Hana WeChat Xiaochengxu' on WeChat.
Through this, Hana Bank China Limited can sell various financial products to over one billion Chinese customers worldwide via WeChat, the mobile messenger application operated by China's Tencent Group.
Chinese customers visiting 'Hana WeChat Xiaochengxu' within the WeChat platform can now sign up remotely for various deposit products such as fixed deposits from Hana Bank China Limited without visiting local branches.
On the WeChat main screen, users can enter search terms in Chinese such as ‘?? (Hana)’ or ‘???行 (Hana Bank)’ directly or select related content within WeChat to access 'Hana WeChat Xiaochengxu'.
