Jinju City Announces Call for Proposals for Next Year's Gender Equality Fund Support Projects
Expecting Diverse and Innovative Projects to Promote Gender Equality Culture
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, is accepting applications for the ‘2023 Gender Equality Fund Support Project’ until September 2, aimed at spreading a culture of gender equality, expanding women's social participation, and promoting welfare.
The application categories include ▲projects for spreading a culture of gender equality ▲projects to prevent gender discrimination, sexual violence, and domestic violence ▲family-friendly projects for work-family balance ▲women talent management and development projects ▲gender equality projects related to low birthrate and aging, totaling five categories.
Applicants must be nonprofit corporations or nonprofit private organizations located in the city, and organizations active in gender equality and women's development (excluding political parties, cooperatives, and social clubs).
Applications will be accepted until September 2, and after review by the Gender Equality Fund Operation Deliberation Committee on the purpose of fund use, appropriateness of the support project, and project execution capability, the target institutions and support amounts will be decided. The total project budget for next year is 42.04 million KRW.
Detailed information about the project can be found on the Jinju City website under Notices/Announcements, and applications can be submitted by mail or in person to the Women and Family Division, Women-Friendly Team of Jinju City by September 2. Mailed applications must arrive by the deadline.

A city official said, “We hope that related organizations (corporations) in the area will actively participate in the public offering project with diverse and innovative ideas suited to the local characteristics,” and added, “We expect Jinju City to become a safe and happy city for all citizens through the enhancement of women's rights and the spread of a culture of gender equality.”
