Promotion of Investment Attraction Capability Enhancement Program with Six Investment Firms
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Creative Content Agency announced on the 2nd that they have selected twenty companies to participate in 'KNock'. KNock is a pitching platform that connects content companies with investors to support funding and growth. This year, the investors include six firms: Daekyo Investment, The Invention Lab, Logan Ventures, Lotte Ventures, Central Investment Partners, and Union Investment Partners.
Daekyo Investment, responsible for the edutainment and content intellectual property (IP) sectors, manages four companies: SoundLeader, AceEdu, FunnyEve, and Foreground. The Invention Lab, in charge of content services and solutions, supports three companies: VividLab, Pearslit, and PlayTheWorld. Logan Ventures, focusing on metaverse, exhibitions, and gaming, assists Plica, Jiwon Playground, and Urban Complex. Lotte Ventures, targeting new growth areas such as audio content and Web3, helps LifeFesta, Eogada, and WeArt with investment attraction. Central Investment Partners, covering webtoon, platform, and solution content sectors, nurtures ToonPlus, VWX, NewCore, and PaintFarm. Union Investment Partners, specializing in convergence content, fosters NewTune, LalaStation, and TenFingers. A representative from the Korea Creative Content Agency explained, "These companies were selected after overcoming an average competition rate of 8.2 to 1," adding, "Foreground and PaintFarm were supported by Gyeonggi Content Korea Lab and Daejeon Content Enterprise Incubation Center, respectively, and were selected through regional competition categories."

Starting this month, the Korea Creative Content Agency and investors will implement a program to strengthen investment attraction capabilities. Based on diagnostic results for each company, an investment attraction roadmap will be developed, followed by approximately 12 weeks of mentoring. The agency will also provide expert consulting in business models, law, accounting, patents, copyrights, marketing, R&D, and overseas expansion. Outstanding participating companies selected through mock pitching will be given the opportunity to participate in the 'KNock Demo Day' this November.
