Curacle Appoints Dr. Wonil Lee as New Head of Drug Research Institute
[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Curacle announced on the 2nd that it has recruited Dr. Lee Won-il as the head of the new drug research institute to accelerate the development of new pipelines.
Dr. Lee graduated from the College of Pharmacy at Seoul National University and obtained his master's and doctoral degrees from the same graduate school. Since 2001, he has led the development of treatments and anticancer drugs for various diseases such as diabetes, COPD, gout, and atopic dermatitis at JW C&C New Drug Research Institute, GemVax & Kael, Jeil Pharmaceutical, and Daewon Pharmaceutical.

A Curacle official stated, "With the recruitment of Dr. Lee, who has over 20 years of new drug development research experience, we expect to accelerate the development of vascular therapeutics based on the Solvadis platform and Curacle's emerging anticancer drug candidates CU04 and CU05." He added, "We also anticipate active exploration and research on new pipelines."
