Changwon Municipal Art Troupe to Hold Concert Commemorating the 77th Anniversary of Liberation Day

Changwon City in Gyeongnam Special City will hold a special commemorative concert by the Changwon Municipal Arts Troupe to celebrate the 77th anniversary of Liberation Day.
View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Song Jong-gu] Changwon Special City in Gyeongnam will hold the Changwon Municipal Arts Group's "Liberation Day Commemorative Concert" as a special planned performance to mark the 77th anniversary of Liberation Day on the 12th at 7:30 PM at Seongsan Art Hall Grand Theater.
The commemorative concert on this day will be a large-scale celebratory stage combining songs, dances, orchestra performances, and choir that share the noble spirit of patriotism of the patriotic martyrs and the joy of liberation.
The performance will feature the Municipal Symphony Orchestra, Choir, Dance Troupe, Boys and Girls Choir, as well as soprano Hong Hye-ran, tenor Kim Kyung-ho, and the Navy Military Band Samulnori performing together.
The program will open magnificently with dance and percussion (Shin Woolrim) under the direction of Osang-ah, choreographer of the Municipal Dance Troupe, followed by the first musical piece of the concert, Aaron Copland's "Fanfare for the Common Man," performed by the Municipal Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Kim Geon, a conductor representing Korea, in a grand orchestral performance.
Since the 50th anniversary of Liberation Day in 1995, Changwon City has held the Liberation Concert prepared by the Changwon Municipal Arts Group every year to honor the noble spirit of patriotism of the martyrs and to share the joy of liberation with its citizens.
