A Woman in Her 30s Who Suddenly Ran Onto the Road After Taking Drugs Caught by Police

The Gangbuk Police Station in Seoul announced on the 1st that they have booked Ms. A (38) without detention on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act.
Ms. A showed abnormal behavior such as suddenly running onto the road on Dobong-ro in Gangbuk-gu, Seoul, at around 9:10 p.m. on the 28th of last month. The police, who responded to the report, immediately apprehended Ms. A. According to the police, Ms. A was speaking incomprehensibly and attempted to run onto the road again, creating a dangerous situation.
The police accompanied Ms. A voluntarily and took protective measures to move her to a safe place. Afterwards, the police questioned Ms. A about drug use, and after persistent questioning, she admitted to taking drugs. A search of her belongings revealed white powder in her bag, and a urine test also confirmed the presence of drugs.
Ms. A was previously booked at a police station in Seoul on the 12th of last month on charges of violating the Narcotics Control Act. It is also known that she is a defector from North Korea.
