Daejeon City to Recruit 1,000 More Participants for Youth Tomorrow Hope Card Program
[Asia Economy (Daejeon) Reporter Jeong Il-woong] Daejeon City is recruiting an additional 1,000 participants for the Youth Tomorrow Hope Card program.
The city announced on the 1st that it will conduct the second round of recruitment for the '2022 Daejeon City Youth Tomorrow Hope Card' program participants from the 1st to the 10th.
The Youth Tomorrow Hope Card is implemented to support job-seeking activities and living stability for unemployed youth residing in the region.
Eligible applicants are unemployed youth aged 18 to 34, registered residents of Daejeon as of the announcement date, whose household income is over 120% but less than 150% of the median income.
Youth with household income at or below 120% of the median income who have been rejected from the National Employment Support System can also apply. In this case, submitting a rejection notice from the National Employment Support System will allow recognition as a rejected applicant.
The city plans to review the eligibility of applicants in the first stage and then conduct a comprehensive evaluation through a selection committee composed of external experts to select the final candidates.
Youth selected for the Youth Tomorrow Hope Card program will receive up to 3 million KRW in card points, paid as 500,000 KRW per month for six months.
The points provided can be used for direct and indirect expenses necessary during the job search process, such as education fees, interview expenses, book purchases, certification acquisition fees, meal costs, and transportation fees.
Applications can be submitted online through the Youth Tomorrow Hope Card website until 5 p.m. on the 10th. Related documents must be mailed by the 17th of this month.
The selection results will be announced on the Youth Tomorrow Hope Card website after the 23rd of next month, and selected applicants will be individually notified via email or mobile phone.
