Science Teachers' Research Association Meets Children on Summer Vacation for Science Experiments!

The ‘Science Teachers' Research Association’ is a project operated by the Gyeongbuk Office of Education to support teachers' voluntary joint research activities and widely disseminate research outcomes to the educational field. This year, 21 teams in fields such as science, STEAM, and environment have been selected to support various research activities.
This camp is a summer vacation science camp activity conducted by science teachers' research associations based in city and county areas for local elementary and middle school students.
The ‘Cheonsamo (Teachers' Association Loving Yeongcheon)’ Science Teachers' Research Association active in the Yeongcheon area will hold a camp from July 28 to 30 at the Yeongcheon Invention Center for local students with the purpose of ‘Developing creative and convergent thinking through scientific activities.’ The camp will cover various themes such as ▲making wooden crafts ▲convergent sensors and block coding ▲designing daily necessities ▲understanding electric circuits.
The ‘Future Coding Science Teachers' Research Association’ in the Gumi area will conduct a Future Coding camp from July 28 to 29 for 5th and 6th graders in local elementary schools, featuring various programs including ▲sublimation transfer mug making ▲Entry ▲Micro:bit ▲Cospaceys ▲Python programming.
The ‘Immersion [F.L.O.W] Science Teachers' Research Association,’ centered in the Gimcheon area, will hold activities over four days from July 27 to 28 and August 16 to 17. These include ▲making a model of the Earth, Moon, and Sun focusing on their movements ▲marking Earth's revolution count on bricks ▲producing gears according to Earth's rotation and revolution cycles, allowing children to immerse themselves in various challenges and freely express creativity and imagination during the problem-solving process.
