Lululab and Hanoi Medical University Join Hands to Foster Vietnam AI Medical Ecosystem Based on Skin Data

View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] Lululab is targeting the Southeast Asian digital healthcare market by using Vietnam as a foothold.
On the 28th, Lululab announced that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Hanoi Medical University (HMU) in Vietnam for joint research on the development of AI analysis solutions for skin diseases and the establishment of AI medical infrastructure in Vietnam.
Through this agreement, Lululab and Hanoi Medical University will conduct joint research to develop AI analysis solutions for major skin diseases in Vietnam. Based on the Vietnamese skin disease data and diagnostic information held by Hanoi Medical University, Lululab aims to develop AI solutions capable of precise diagnosis of various skin diseases by integrating its AI skin analysis algorithms. Lululab plans to launch the 'Skin Disease AI Analysis Solution' and introduce it into the Vietnamese medical field, focusing on local dermatology hospital networks.
In addition, Lululab will provide educational services on the latest technologies in the AI medical field, where demand for personnel is recently expanding, to Hanoi Medical University. It will also jointly develop cosmetics and health functional food raw materials and finished products through the development of cosmetic recommendation algorithms tailored to the Vietnamese local market environment and the extraction and analysis of Vietnamese natural substances.
Choi Yong-jun, CEO of Lululab, said, "Vietnam lacks infrastructure such as medical professionals, so there is a high demand for technologies that can complement existing diagnostic methods. We will launch AI analysis solutions for major skin diseases and supply Lululab’s AI solutions throughout Vietnam, centered on dermatology hospital networks that will be jointly established with Hanoi Medical University."
