According to the Gapyeong Police Station on the 28th, a report was received by the police and fire authorities around 3 a.m. on the 27th from a pension in Seoraksan, Gapyeong-gun, stating that "my girlfriend disappeared after drinking."
The rescue team deployed about 50 police and fire personnel to conduct a search operation and found the belongings of the missing woman in her 20s, Ms. A, near the dock close to the pension. After searching for about 11 hours, Ms. A was found dead in the water near the dock.
It is known that Ms. A had come to Gapyeong on a trip with her boyfriend and acquaintances.
