Samsung Electro-Mechanics Q2 Operating Profit 360.1 Billion KRW... Up 0.6% YoY
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Sun-mi] Samsung Electro-Mechanics announced on the 27th that its operating profit for the second quarter of this year on a consolidated basis reached 360.1 billion KRW. This is a 0.6% increase compared to the same period last year but a 12.3% decrease compared to the previous quarter.
Sales amounted to 2.4556 trillion KRW, a 2.1% increase compared to the same period last year. Net profit rose 20.5% to 282.8 billion KRW.
Samsung Electro-Mechanics explained that although the second quarter results declined compared to the previous quarter due to weakened demand in the IT market such as smartphones, performance grew compared to the same period last year thanks to increased sales of industrial and automotive MLCCs and semiconductor package substrates for high-spec CPUs.
