Where to Check Locations and Amenities of 56 Public Camping Sites in Gyeonggi-do?
[Asia Economy (Suwon) = Reporter Lee Young-gyu] A service that allows users to check the locations and convenience facility information of 56 public camping sites operated in Gyeonggi Province at once will start on the 28th.
Gyeonggi Province announced on the 27th that it will provide information on public camping sites in the province through the Gyeonggi Sharing Service (see illustration).
The Gyeonggi Sharing Service is an integrated public reservation service in Gyeonggi Province that allows residents to easily use more than 2,000 various public facilities such as lecture rooms, conference rooms, and sports facilities opened by the province, 31 cities and counties, and public institutions.
Information on public camping sites is provided through the "Comprehensive Camping Site Guide" menu. In particular, the 56 public camping sites in the province are classified and provided according to terrain characteristics such as mountains/forests, rivers/valleys/lakes, and service types offered at the camping sites such as glamping, caravans, and swimming pools.
The camping site locations are marked on the Gyeonggi Province map, and convenience facility information such as the number of sites including decks and caravans within the public camping sites, parking lots, restrooms, barbecue areas, and swimming pools are provided in image form.
If a reservation is required, users can make a reservation by moving to the respective camping site’s homepage through the "Shortcut" menu.
Ki-do Do, Director of the Asset Management Division, said, "We established this service to provide more convenient and safe use of camping sites during the vacation season," and added, "We hope it will be of some help to residents preparing for camping."
Meanwhile, to promote the sharing service, next month the province will additionally provide reservation services for lectures, experiential tours, and equipment rentals through the Gyeonggi Sharing Service. The Gyeonggi Sharing Service can be conveniently used anytime and anywhere by any Gyeonggi resident via computer or smartphone.
