The Corruption Investigation Office Assigns Case to Investigation Division 1 Regarding 'Presidential Office Private Hiring Controversy' Complaint
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Daehyun] The High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Unit (PCC) has assigned the case filed regarding the controversy over the 'private recruitment' involving President Yoon Seok-yeol and his wife to Investigation Division 1 (Acting Chief Prosecutor Lee Daehwan).
On the 26th, a PCC official announced the case assignment results during a regular briefing held at the Government Complex Gwacheon.
Earlier, on the 20th, the Citizens' Action for Judicial Justice (Sasehaeng) filed a complaint with the PCC against President Yoon, his wife Kim Geon-hee, People Power Party floor leader Kwon Seong-dong, Presidential Secretary Kim Dae-gi, Presidential Personnel Secretary Lee Won-mo, and Chief Secretary Yoon Jae-soon, accusing them of abuse of authority, violation of the State Public Officials Act, violation of the Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, and violation of the Improper Solicitation and Graft Act.
