Shinan-gun 'Jeonyeoknoeul Art Museum' Free Summer Vacation Education Program
'Drawing Park' Starts on the 30th... Open for Anyone to Apply
[Sinan=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Jae-kyung] Jeonnam Sinan-gun will hold the museum education program "Drawing Park" every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Evening Glow Art Museum for students and families in the area during the summer vacation, from the 30th of this month to October 8th.
The Evening Glow Art Museum, a public art museum in Sinan-gun, is located near Songgonghang Port in a scenic spot and operates year-round permanent and special exhibitions.
At the Bonsai Park where the museum is located, over 1,000 rare and exquisite bonsai pieces, as well as beautiful trees of the southern region such as Aegidongbaek, Biwa, Moksuguk, Sosnamu, and Baerongnamu, along with various wild plants, grow.
In particular, the nature-friendly walking trails and ecological pond feature beautiful wildflowers blooming each season, and Sho and sculptures are harmoniously placed among the trees throughout the forest.
Cheonsaseom Bonsai Park is a park that, while some may not have visited, no one has come only once. This beautiful park, which never lacks visitors, is a special natural park that is the result of Sinan-gun’s sweat and effort to cultivate the natural environment more beautifully, making it difficult to find anywhere else.
The "Drawing Park" program is a cultural and artistic education program planned by the Evening Glow Art Museum against the backdrop of this distinctive Bonsai Park. Participants, from beginners to experienced artists, children to adults, will feel and enjoy plants and nature with professional artists and create their own unique works. The results will be showcased at the Evening Glow Art Museum’s book cafe through an exhibition to demonstrate their talents.
The program consists of a total of 10 sessions, and participation is free of charge. Basic materials are provided by the museum, but participants who wish to use their own materials may bring them.
The artists leading the "Drawing Park" program include various artists currently active in Sinan. A Sinan-gun official said, “Starting with the Evening Glow Art Museum’s cultural and artistic education program 'Ink of Sinan,' followed by 'Drawing Park,' we are preparing various programs along with upcoming exhibitions. We hope you do not miss the opportunity to have a creative experience with your children during the summer vacation.”
