[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Kim Su-young, a member of the Gwangju Metropolitan City Seo-gu Council, proposed the construction of public facilities such as a library on the site of the Gwangju Metropolitan Office of Education.
Councilor Kim said, "In June, the Gwangju Office of Education Transition Committee formed a task force (TF) related to the relocation of the city education office," adding, "This site is for public interest purposes, and considering the characteristic that many students live in the nearby Hwajeong-dong Hillstate large apartment complex, public facilities such as a library should be built."
He continued, "Seo-gu should select the site utilization plan as a priority project in cooperation with the Office of Education and review the construction plan for facilities such as a library to achieve the public interest purpose."
