[Asia Economy Reporter Kwak Minjae] The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 24th that it will recruit small and venture companies to participate in the ‘2022 Korea Sourcing Week’ for two weeks starting from the 25th.
Sourcing Week is an event that supports the expansion of domestic and overseas sales channels for excellent products from small businesses. The previously separately held ‘Global Business Sourcing Fair’ and ‘Marketing Fair’ have been integrated and promoted together.
The Korea SMEs and Startups Agency, Small Enterprise and Market Service, and the Foundation for Cooperation between Large, Small Enterprises and Agriculture & Fisheries, which are export and marketing specialized organizations, will cooperate to hold the event on September 6 and 7 at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Seoul.
Main events include ▲1:1 matching export consultation meetings with overseas buyers both online and offline ▲1:1 matching domestic consultation meetings with distribution buyers ▲MD (GS, Lotte, Hyundai, Gongyoung Home Shopping) product evaluation meetings for entry into overseas home shopping ▲awards for outstanding contributions to SME product sales channels and marketing.
Additionally, various side events such as ▲exhibition halls for excellent SME products ▲demonstration sessions inviting influencers from major export countries ▲live commerce broadcast sales events will be held.
In this regard, the three export and marketing specialized organizations are recruiting companies to participate in export and domestic consultation meetings, exhibitions, overseas home shopping product evaluation meetings, and candidates for awards.
